Episode 6 of Karl & James’ backpacking documentary series as they travel through Australia’s Outback and down the East Coast.

Finishing off their Outback experience with Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kings Canyon before flying out to the east coast.

Working their way from Cairns down to Melbourne, this is one of the most popular backpacking routes in the world. Starting with snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef, they then go sailing on the British Defender through the Whitsundays. Filming at Fraser Island doesn’t go to plan, but they continue south through Byron Bay, Nimbin, Sydney, checking out the Blue Mountains before finishing in Melbourne.

They filmed the entire journey with just one camera, a Sony Handycam HDR-XR160E.
